Mrs. Katie Homolka

6th-8th Grade Math / 8th Grade Religion

Katie Homolka is a graduate of St. Pat’s Grade School, Joliet Catholic Academy and the University of St. Francis. While attending the University of St. Francis, she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Mathematics, Language Arts and Social Sciences. After graduating from the University of St. Francis, she taught 2nd grade for five years at Walnut Trails Elementary School for the Minooka School District. She then stayed home for 8 years to raise her three children. In 2017, she became a part-time aide at the Cathedral of St. Raymond School for two years, assisting in kindergarten and third grade classrooms. In 2019, she returned to the classroom full-time and taught 2nd grade for two years at the Cathedral of St. Raymond School. In 2021, she made the move to Junior High and currently teaches math to 6th, 7th and 8th grade. She also teaches religion to 6th and 8th grade.

She lives in Joliet with her husband Sean and her three children. Nate (Class of 2023), Annie (Class of 2026), and Charlie (Class of 2028) are all students at the Cathedral of St. Raymond School. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, being outside and spending time with family and friends.
