Mrs. Karen Latz

Art Teacher

Karen Latz has been the art teacher at Cathedral of St. Raymond School since 2010. Prior to joining St. Raymond’s, she taught at St. Patrick School in Joliet for 18 years. Karen’s schooling includes St. Paul the Apostle Grade School, St. Francis Academy High School, Joliet Junior College and The Art Institute of Chicago. She and her husband Dave are life-long residents of Joliet. They have three children; Mark (Sarah), Michael (Amanda) and Abbey (Kevin Hearn), five grandsons – Henry, Clark, Lane, Declan, and Beau – and another grandson on the way. When not teaching, Karen enjoys creating all forms of art, traveling and spending time with her growing family.
